So a few weeks ago my web hosts sold their hosting business to some mob called Devinehost.
A few weeks later, I received my first months' invoice from the new hosts - followed 2 minutes later by a disconnection notice for non-payment!
Attempting to log in to the online billing system to pay them, it turned out my login was no longer working - and the replacement password their system emailed me turned out to be '6ΗΛΫp"Ά'. Unsurprisingly, that didn't work either.

Shortly afterwards, while waiting for a reply to my helpdesk request about the problem, they dropped off the internet entirely, and haven't been seen since. Joy!

So, being the organised sort that I am, it's only taken me 3 weeks to get around to setting up a new host. The beercave is now happily powered by NearlyFreeSpeech.net.
